Frequently asked questions

Do I need my own API key?

Yes. iCoderAgent is “bring your own key” (BYOK). Add a key from a provider such as Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI, or others in Settings, and the app talks to that provider directly. You can also point it at a local model.

Where do my code and data go?

Your prompts, files, chat history, and keys stay on your device. When you run a request, the relevant content is sent directly to the AI provider you chose. See the Privacy Policy for details.

What is a “conversation” in the subscription plans?

A conversation is one task you start with the agent. Your remaining count is shown in the app's billing screen, and unused conversations roll over while your subscription stays active.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. On your device, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, select iCoderAgent, and choose to change or cancel. You can also tap Restore Purchases in the app's pricing screen if a purchase isn't showing.

The agent says Python or a module failed to load. What now?

Make sure you're on the latest version from the App Store and relaunch the app. If it persists, email us with the exact error text and your device/iOS version so we can reproduce it.

What is the Mac companion?

An optional desktop app that lets the agent work on a real project on your Mac, driven from your phone over a secure relay. It requires a free account to pair the two devices.

How do I delete my data or account?

Deleting the app removes all on-device data. To delete an optional relay account (email + auth token), email us and we'll remove it.
